Over the last 28 days, engineers have been working on Transpennine Route Upgrades (TRU) in West Yorkshire.

From the 30th May until the 27th June, improvements were made between Morley and Dewsbury.

A range of track renewals, drainage works, overhead line equipment installs, station and bridge works, were carried out.

Both Dewsbury and Batley were the focus of the station improvement works, which drew them both closer to completion.

Weekend work will continue over July and August, ahead of the 16-day planned improvement works.

Services will be disrupted:

• 4-5 July
• 11-12 July
• 18-19 July
• 25-26 July
• 1-2 August
