The Santa Express will return to the Weardale Railway this festive season, running between 28 November and 24 December. The popular Christmas attraction offers passengers a seasonal journey through Weardale, complete with festive decorations, costumed elves, and a visit from Santa.

Tickets went on sale last week, with mailing list subscribers given advance access before the general release. A limited allocation of early bird fares remains available, providing a 10% discount for early bookings. Demand is expected to be strongest on peak dates, including Christmas Eve.

Two ticket types are available. Gold fares start at £33, while VIP tickets, offering extra space and comfort, start from £43.
