The Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre has made progress with upgrades over the last year and recently welcomed over 7,000 people for Rail Live 2026.
Those in attendance were able to see the upgraded infrastructure and progress it’s making to support new fleets.
Visitors were able to ride on board HydroFLEX on the test loop with a narrated tour by Francis Bourgeois.

There were varied displays, the returning Primary Engineer challenge and speakers who discussed the future.
There was also a dedicated service which took visitors from London to the event.
It was also an opportunity to see Inspiration before its tour ends.
