The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) pub of the year awards have seen both of the Severn Valley Railway’s pubs receive recognition.

The King and Castle in Kidderminster was acknowledged for the warm hospitality and selection of beers. They were named the Worcestershire pub of the year and will represent the county in the regional competition.

The other pub recognised was the Railwayman’s Arms, which continuously attracts a range of customers with its range of ales and its atmosphere. The pub was named Bridgnorth CAMRA Pub of the Year and is awaiting the results of the Shropshire Pub of the Year competition.
