London Underground incident sees man plead guilty

Following an incident at Bond Street Underground Station in October 2025, two people were charged in connection.

37-year-old Philipp Ostermann appeared in court on the 2nd June, charged with two Racially Aggravated Public Order offences and a further Public Order offence, all three of which he pleaded guilty to.

Ostermann’s trial has been set for 17th November 2026 at City of London Magistrates’ Court.

The second person charged was Melissa Rein Lively, aged 40, who was charged with Assault by Beating. Lively did not appear in court due to accepting a conditional caution and paying £910 compensation.
