Major disruption to trains between London and Scotland are subject to major disruption this evening due to a bridge partially collapsing.

Significant damage has been caused to the railway bridge and it is unclear when the line will reopen.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day, with services starting and terminating at Rugby and or Nuneaton.

Rail replacement bus services are running for London Northwestern Railway between Stafford and Rugby, with ticket acceptance in place with Avanti West Coast.

Advice for passengers is to either use the bus service or via Birmingham New Street.

The most recent travel advice is available via National Rail.
