Over £700,000 of improvement works have been carried out by Greater Anglia at Great Yarmouth.

Greater Anglia have completed a range of projects, including a Changing Places toilet, a live bus information screen, an art exhibition, an upgraded waiting room, a defibrillator, and a Broads Discovery Hub.

Work to improve the fabric of the station building is still ongoing, but nearing completion.

Additionally, the operator has introduced extra weekday peak services between Norwich and Great Yarmouth. These services include the 08:04 and 18:02 from Norwich to Great Yarmouth and the 08:44 and 18:44 from Great Yarmouth to Norwich.

“We are very pleased to have invested more than £700,000 in improvements at Great Yarmouth railway station ahead of the busy summer season.

“These upgrades are making the station more welcoming, accessible and easier to use, while additional weekday peak services are giving passengers more options between Norwich and Great Yarmouth.

“With strong punctuality on the route, rail is an attractive option for people travelling to and from the town and the east coast.”

Andrew Goodrum, Greater Anglia’s Infrastructure & Major Projects Director
