Passengers attending the gala weekend on the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 June 2026 will have the chance to hunt for one of 10 Golden Prize Boxes hidden aboard selected event trains.

Available exclusively to holders of 1-Day Rover Tickets and 3-Day Rover Tickets, the boxes will contain prize certificates offering rewards including Ffestiniog Travel gift vouchers, footplate passes, and invitations to travel on the railway’s Gravity Trains.

Visitors who discover a box should take it to the Booking Office at Porthmadog to claim their prize. All certificates must be validated there and will be checked against the railway’s list of eligible ticket holders.
