The TRNSMT Festival gets underway today (19th June) and runs until the 21st June.

ScotRail has advised passengers to plan ahead and allow extra time, taking into account how busy it will be.

Extra carriages have been added to services in and out of Glasgow throughout the weekend, and there are extra late-night services.

Passengers can use a range of stations to get to Glasgow Green, including Bridgeton, High Street, Glasgow Central, Glasgow Queen Street, and Argyle Street.

Scotland’s World Cup match will also be shown at TRNSMT, but those travelling by train should be aware that there are no trains running after the end of the match.

Passengers should leave early to catch a train or watch the full game and make other travel arrangements.

“TRNSMT is one of Scotland’s biggest music festivals, and we’re ready to help thousands of people travel to and from Glasgow Green this weekend. 

“We’ve added extra carriages and additional late-night services to help customers get home after the music finishes each night.  

“We also want customers attending on Friday to be aware that while Scotland’s World Cup match against Morocco will be shown at the festival after the music, the additional trains are scheduled around the end of the music and not the football. 

“Our advice is to check your journey before travelling, buy your ticket before you board the train, and know your last train home before heading to the festival.”
