An extra webcam has been installed on the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway to expand the number of camera views available to four.

The latest webcam has been installed at Woody Bay Station, and provides a view of the station from the down starter signal, giving a full view of the platform where trains normally arrive and depart.

Other webcams at Woody Bay Station provide a view of the station from the carriage shelter, and a view from the station of the line and Exmoor.

A fourth webcam provides views of Killington Lane Station, but only during the railway’s operating season.

The latest webcam was installed with assistance from RailCam, and can all be viewed at https://www.lynton-rail.co.uk/watch-our-webcams.

Among the many special events the railway is holding this year was its first-ever Mixed Traction Day, on Sunday, 17th May, when 2-4-2 steam locomotive Lyn, and diesel locomotives PILTON, Heddon Hall, and D6652, were in action.

Meanwhile, on Father’s Day, 21st June, a chaplain who volunteers at the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway is inviting visitors to spend a moment of reflection at St John’s Church in Lynmouth before they visit the railway.
