East England’s railway operators are marking Pride Month by encouraging people to travel by train to Pride events taking place across the region this summer.
Train operators c2c and Greater Anglia, alongside Network Rail Anglia, aim to support travel to the 2026 celebrations of Pride across the East of England as part of Anglia’s integrated railway. Stations across the network provide access to towns and cities hosting marches, festivals, concerts and community events throughout the summer.
c2c will continue as the main sponsor of Thurrock Pride for a third consecutive year. The event takes place in Greys on Saturday, 13 June and will feature a march, live entertainment, workshops, panel discussions and an after-party. Greater Anglia is also maintaining its support for Norwich Pride, which returns to the city centre on Saturday, 25 July.

The programme of events begins with Bury St Edmunds Pride on 6 June and Cambridge Pride, Thurrock Pride and Brandon Pride on 13 June. This year’s Pride celebrations across the East of England will conclude with Colchester Pride and King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Pride on 15 August; London Bi Pride and Great Yarmouth & Waveney Pride on 29 August; and Basildon Pride on 5 September.
Throughout June, stations, offices and depots across the region will display Pride bunting, flags and other materials, while Network Rail Anglia will adopt rainbow-coloured branding.
Passengers are advised to check before travelling due to planned engineering work. Buses will replace trains between Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge North on 13 June, between Ipswich and Colchester and between Harwich Town and Manningtree on 20 June, while c2c services for London Pride on 4 July will run to London Liverpool Street, instead of London Fenchurch Street.
Other towns and cities within the Greater Anglia network set to host celebrations include: Essex Pride in Chelmsford and Hertford Family Pride Day on 20 June; Forest Gayte Pride in Forest Gate, Newham, from 26 to 28 June; Clacton Pride Family Festival on 27 June; London Pride on 4 July; Lowestoft Pride on 11 July; Peterborough Pride and Southend Pride on 18 July; Norwich Pride and London Trans+ Pride on 25 July; Pride in Ely on 8 August.
“The railway is open, accessible and welcoming to everyone, and Pride is an important opportunity to celebrate that.
“We look forward to welcoming customers as they travel to and from events, celebrations, marches and festivals across the East of England this summer.
“By working more closely together across c2c, Greater Anglia and Network Rail Anglia, we can plan more effectively, support major events across the region and help customers make their journeys with confidence.”
Rob Mullen, Chief Customer and Commercial Officer for the railway in Anglia.
