With the World Cup Finals just a few days away, Amtrak is making special arrangements for fans to travel to and from matches taking place in Los Angeles, California.

Fans will be able to travel to Los Angeles on Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner, but from Thursday, 11th, until Sunday, 19th July, anyone wishing to travel on these trains must book a reservation.

Demand is expected to be especially high on match days, so the best way to guarantee a seat is to book early. Tickets are on sale now at PacificSurfliner.com.

On the key match dates of Friday, 12th, Saturday, 13th, Monday, 15th, and Thursday, 25th, there will be extra late night Pacific Surfliner trains after each big match, and they will be timed so fans don’t have to rush after the final whistle, and will still be able to travel home the same night.

On some match days, there will be later trains from Union Station for fans travelling south to San Diego and north to Santa Barbara.

During the final weekend of the World Cup, Los Angeles is hosting a Fan Zone at Burbank Downtown station.

On Saturday, 18th and Sunday, 19th, Pacific Surfliner trains will make an additional stop at Burbank Downtown Station, where fans will be immediately at the doorstep of the Los Angeles World Cup 26 Fan Zone.

From Los Angeles Union Station, tickets on the LA Metro to World Cup matches at Los Angeles Stadium cost just $1.75 each way. Train services start up to four hours before kickoff and run for 90 minutes after the final whistle.

From 25th to 28th June, there will be another World Cup 26 Fan Zone at Union Station, which will be open from 10 am to 9 pm, and there will also be other locations accessible by train throughout the corridor that will host will live screenings, watch parties, and fan events, including near Anaheim, San Diego’s Santa Fe Depot, and Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone.

Britain’s Network Rail, through its US subsidiary, Network Rail Consulting Inc, is providing systems engineering services to California’s High-Speed Rail Program, which will feature trains travelling at 200 mph between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
