Greater Anglia has invested more than £1.4m in a station repainting programme covering 29 stations across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire.

Completed between September 2025 and April 2026, the project saw canopies, columns, window frames and signage refreshed using thousands of litres of paint to make stations brighter, cleaner and more welcoming. Key sites included Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, Bishop’s Stortford, and Manningtree, alongside 25 other stations across the network.

The work forms part of Greater Anglia’s wider station improvement programme. Across the region, c2c, Greater Anglia and Network Rail Anglia are also operating more closely as Great British Rail Anglia, improving coordination between track and train to deliver a better-connected railway for passenger journeys, strengthening day-to-day operations across the network.
