Can we please stop using “passing” etc as a replacement for “death”? I understand and sympathise with the family at this terrible time for them if they don’t want to use words like “died” – I certainly couldn’t after my own parents died. But for the rest of us, I would prefer if we didn’t pretend to be affected in the same way. In addition, there is a possibility of confusion within the railway scene – trains pass people by the lineside, hopefully with no fatal consequences.
