This month, a week of planned track maintenance will be carried out by Nottingham Express Transit (NET) between The Forest and Old Market Square.

The work will impact all stops in the area and will see a section of track replaced near the Nottingham Trent University tram stop.

All stops along the route will be closed, and a dedicated tram replacement bus will run between The Forest and Old Market Square.

Services will be affected between the 24th and 31st May, with services expected to return to normal from the 1st June.

Further information can be found on their website.

“Ongoing maintenance work is part of our regular operations here at NET, helping us to ensure that our network can remain as safe and reliable as possible for the thousands of people that use it. Minimising disruption is key, and with our rail replacement bus service, we hope to reduce the impact on travellers who often use the stops that will be closed during this time. Anyone who is concerned and wants to find out more can visit our dedicated web page on the NET website. Here they can contact us through our live chat function or WhatsApp us on 0115 824 6060 if they have any questions.

“We’d like to thank our customers and the wider public for their cooperation as we complete this essential maintenance work to keep our trams running safely.”

Joanne Smedley, head of service delivery at NET
