Leighton Buzzard Railway reported another successful family event at its Teddy Bear’s Picnic over the Bank Holiday Weekend.

Despite cloudy skies on Monday, enthusiasm remained high, with one teddy-bear ‘family’ even setting up a picnic inside the tunnel at Chamberlains Bridge. More than 650 visitors attended the two-day event, with overflow car parking brought into use again.

Children bringing teddies travelled free and joined a bear hunt at Stonehenge Works, receiving a small prize bear. Junior Rail Club members supported the event, some in costume, while older members shadowed railway staff roles.

Attention now turns to Sunday, 31 May, when ‘Chase’ from Paw Patrol will visit; the event is expected to sell out, and visitors are advised to book early.
