London and Birmingham trains to be affected by strike action

Industrial action is planned for the 22nd and 23rd May and will affect London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway services.

Services will operate on a reduced timetable, and no trains will run after 19:00 on Friday or before 7:00 on Saturday.

Passengers have been advised to only travel if necessary due to the reduced timetable.

London Northwestern Railway will have limited service of 1 train per hour on the following routes:

  • Liverpool Lime Street and Birmingham New Street
  • Birmingham New Street and London Euston via Northampton
  • Northampton and London Euston

West Midlands Railway services will run at 1 train per hour for the following routes:

  • Wolverhampton and Walsall via Birmingham New Street
  • Rugeley Trent Valley and Birmingham International via Birmingham New Street

Two trains per hour will run between Lichfield Trent Valley and Redditch / Bromsgrove via Birmingham New Street.

No trains will run on any other London Northwestern Railway or West Midlands Railway route.

Passengers should check online before they travel.
