As a part of the annual Bee Lady Day celebrations, Hull Trains organised a special day out for dedicated volunteers.

The annual celebrations honour Jean Bishop, a well-loved fundraiser, who raised over £125,000 for Age UK.

Hull Trains partnered up with Age UK and East Yorkshire to provide a memorable day out in Doncaster for 12 volunteers.

The volunteers travelled in first class on board the ‘Jean Bishop Train‘.

The group enjoyed activities at The Twisted Knot, followed by an afternoon tea.

“Jean Bishop is someone that all of us in Hull are hugely proud to be associated with. It’s incredibly important that we celebrate her legacy every year and what better way to do that then to thank a group of people who are continuing the important work she started.

“Our team gave this inspirational group of people the VIP treatment they deserve and I’m very pleased they had a memorable day out.”

Nathan Rayne, Interim Service Delivery Director at Hull Trains
