From 18th May, 16 extra peak-time services per weekday will operate on the London Overground Mildmay Line between Clapham Junction and Shepherd’s Bush, funded through Olympia’s five-year arrangement with Transport for London.

In the morning peak, three additional services will depart from Clapham Junction, with five in the evening peak, providing an increased capacity in the morning (20%) and in the afternoon (33%).

These services will reduce journey times for passengers and provide the extra capacity needed to support the rising demand on this important arterial line in London.

Olympia is one of the most iconic cultural and entertainment destinations in Central London. During its 140th year in operation, it is in the process of being transformed with a variety of new restaurants, hotels, a new music venue and the creation of the largest new theatre in London, which will be called “The British Airways Theatre”

“As the all-new Olympia prepares to welcome visitors from across London and beyond, ensuring a straightforward journey here is a key priority. Alongside our strong local transport links, the additional services on the Mildmay line will make reaching Olympia’s entertainment venues, hotels, restaurants, bars, and iconic halls more convenient than ever, and we’re delighted to have played a part in making this happen.”

Michael Volkert, CEO of Olympia Estates
