Woman charged following Manslaughter in Birmingham

Back in November 2024, officers were called to Birmingham New Street following reports of an assault.

Dorothy Chiles, aged 87, was seriously injured and was rushed to hospital with a broken hip and unfortunately succumbed to her injuries on the 27th December.

Her attacker, Charlie Lane, aged 26, has been charged with Manslaughter and Racially Aggravated Public Order.

She will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on the 30th April.
