Network Rail will carry out essential maintenance between Llandrindod and Llanwrtyd on the Heart of Wales line this April, with bus replacements between Llandrindod and Llandovery from Saturday, 18 April to Thursday, 23 April.

The work includes vegetation management and level crossing maintenance to support safe, reliable services for passengers and freight customers.

An amended rail service will operate between Llandovery and Carmarthen/Swansea, with some trains retimed to run earlier or later than usual.

Passengers are advised to plan ahead, allow extra journey time and check before travelling via their operator or National Rail Enquiries.

“This essential work will help us maintain a safe and reliable railway for everyone who uses the Heart of Wales line. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused and thank passengers for their patience while we carry out these improvements.”

Network Rail Spokesperson.
