Wensleydale Railway will host its annual Model Railway Show over the second weekend of May, taking place between Saturday, 9 and Sunday, 10 May at Leeming Bar Station.
The event will feature model layouts in a range of gauges from N to O, alongside trade stands and model-making demonstrations.
Visitors can purchase hot and cold drinks and light snacks from the static buffet coach, while draught and bottled beer will be available on the platform adjacent to the buffet car.
Additional refreshments will be served at Leyburn station tearoom.
Throughout the weekend, all passenger services will be diesel loco-hauled and operate between Scruton and Leyburn, subject to availability.
In addition to the separate entry ticket for the show, the railway’s full range of travel tickets will be offered.

An all-day ‘Ranger’ ticket is priced at £25, with standard single and return fares also available. Children aged 3-15 can travel for £1.
Visitors can also explore the restored station museums at Leeming Bar and Scruton, with free guided tours led by costumed living history interpreters focusing on rural railway life in the early 1900s.
The show will run from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and from 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday. Entry costs £6 for adults, while children aged 3-15 enter free.
“Our model railway show returns for its 5th year at Leeming Bar Station and will be bigger than ever! We will have 14 layouts on display, a selection of trade stands and model-making demonstrations in attendance and our heritage diesel locomotives will be running all passenger services.”
Nick Keegan, Marketing and Fundraising Manager at Wensleydale Railway.
