The Llanberis Lake Railway has provided an update on the ongoing National Grid electricity cable replacement project.
While it has been ongoing, the railway’s timetable has been subject to change at short notice and has now suspended passenger journeys between 13th April and 10th May.
A number of the cables needed for replacement run under the railway’s land, so the project will affect journeys throughout the rest of 2026.
Journeys outside of this suspension will be shorter from Padarn Country Park to Llanberis station.
Visitors to the area are reminded that their cafe and gift shop at Gilfach Ddu station will remain open on 21st-23rd April, 28th -30th April and 4th-7th May.
