The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway has advised those visiting them about service alterations due to a landslip.

The landslip occurred last month on the Malvern side of the embankment between Gotherington and Bishop’s Cleeve, and there has been a 5 mph speed limit in place since.

The area has been monitored, and a repair strategy has been prepared, which can now go ahead thanks to funding from the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway Trust (GWRT).

The work to stabilise the affected area will go underway between the 21st April and 14th May, with a possible extension noted. While this is underway, midweek services will run on the revised timetable.

Weekend services are planned to operate as planned; however, this may change at short notice.

Additionally, group bookings such as their Footplate experience days will also be amended. Some aspects of the timetable are still being finalised, and group bookings are being contacted, with further information to be updated on their website.

Further information on the timetable can be found here.

Lastly, donations can also be made to GWRT online.
