Over the upcoming months, Amberley Museum is set to host a series of memorable events.
Firstly, the museum is to see the return of Motorcycle Day on Monday, 4 May. The event is set to showcase more than 150 motorcycles for visitors to get up close and personal with. During this event, visitors over the age of 18 can experience driving one of the museum’s locomotives.
The Southern Classics Car Club Meet is set to take place on Sunday, 10 May. Visitors can admire vehicles cared for by one of the leading car clubs in South East England, including a diverse range of cars spanning over a century of history. Along with this, the Magog Morris Dancers will be performing at the event.

Visitors can enjoy a visit to the 1940s between Saturday, 16 and Sunday, 17 May, during the museum’s Home Front Weekend. Amberley Museum will be transformed by engaging showcases of a reconstructed RAF operations room, reenactors, wartime vehicles and equipment, and the opportunity to ride on the museum’s steam locomotive ‘Peter’.
James Bond is set to take the spotlight on Sunday, 24 May. With Amberley being a principal filming location for the 1985 film A View to Kill, the museum is offering a unique opportunity to attend tours and talks that provide insight into how the site was transformed for filming. Along with this, visitors can see the operation of the locomotive ‘Zorin’ and wagons used during filming.
