On Monday 2nd March, Wrexham, Shropshire and Midlands Railway ran a private charter from Wrexham General to London Euston to promote the new potential service,

Back in December 2025, the Alstom-led company submitted a new application that follows on from feedback.

The new potential service will see trains call at Wrexham, Shrewsbury, Wellington (Shropshire), Telford on its way to London Euston.

In this short video, we see GB Railfreight Class 57s pass through Chirk with the returning charter with Eastern Rail Services coaches, which were specially branded for the train with WSMR branding on the side.
