Customers travelling with ScotRail at Airdrie railway station can now enjoy a freshly brewed coffee and a hot breakfast roll ahead of their journey, following the arrival of Rosco’s Rolls kiosk.
Situated on the station concourse, the new outlet offers barista-style drinks and hearty rolls made with locally sourced fresh ingredients. Open from 7 am – 1 pm, Monday to Friday, the kiosk caters to early risers, commuters, and passing visitors seeking a quick bite or caffeine boost.
Airdrie station’s central location and high footfall make it an ideal location for growing local businesses to connect and serve the passengers of Scotland’s railway.
Further retail opportunities in stations, including Aberdeen, Inverness, Stirling, and Paisley Gilmour Street, are expected to further highlight the growing interest between local stations and independent businesses along the rail network.
“We’re thrilled to open at Airdrie station and to share our passion for great coffee and local food with commuters and the community.
“We look forward to becoming a part of daily journeys and brightening mornings with fresh, quality offerings.”
Lisa Ross, Co-owner of Rosco’s Rolls.
“We’re delighted to welcome Rosco’s Rolls to Airdrie station.
“This new kiosk brings great-tasting coffee and fresh produce to people passing through the station each day, and we’re sure it will be a big hit with commuters and visitors alike.
“We recognise the significant role we can play in improving the towns and villages we serve, and we’ll continue to look at ways we can help local businesses thrive while also enhancing our customers’ experience.”
Claire Dickie, ScotRail Commercial Director.
