Network Rail and Muscular Dystrophy UK invested thousands into a new Assisted Travel Lounge at Liverpool Lime Street.
Passengers will be able to benefit from a dedicated accessible waiting area on the concourse.
The lounge is set to open on the 31st March, featuring accessible seating, with space for wheelchairs, a changing places toilet, a staffed welcome desk and a sensory nook to help those who may feel overwhelmed by stations.

Network Rail invested £400,000, with the Muscular Dystrophy UK charity contributing £65,000 for the Changing Places facility.
Staff will be at the station to assist in the waiting area and to direct passengers to the lounge.
It will be open daily between 7 am and 8 pm.
“It’s been great to see the new Assisted Travel Lounge being installed at Liverpool Lime Street and I’m pleased to say it will be opening very soon.
“Travelling through our stations can be a daunting experience for some people but these new facilities will provide a chance to stop and wait in a calm, welcoming environment with features that will improve journeys for passengers.”
Rachel Rahbarzare, station manager at Liverpool Lime Street
