Dovetail Games has announced the release today, Thursday, 26th February, of a remastered version of the East Coastway line, and Southern Class 171/7 & 171/8 diesel multiple units (DMU) and a Class 377/3 electric multiple unit (EMU) from Rivet Games for Train Sim World 6..

The remastered East Coastway includes Lovers Walk depot, improvements around Brighton, Eastbourne, and Newhaven Marine, and improved landscaping and scenery. It also includes updates to Class 313 and 377/4 trains, as well as many other improvements.

Train Sim World 6 players who already own the standard East Coastway route will receive the update free of charge; otherwise, East Coastway can be purchased for £24.99.

Rivet Games’ Southern Class 171 & Class 377/3 Add-on includes three scenarios and 322 playable services, and a new timetable based on the December 2017 to May 2018 Working Timetable.

It also makes provision for the Seaford and Lewes services to be operated by a Class 377/3 or a Class 313. The price of the Class 171 & Class 377/3 Add-on is £12.99.

Southern’s Class 171s differ from its Class 170s with the use of a Dellner coupler to allow emergency coupling to Southern’s EMU fleet instead of the usual BSI coupler.

Class 377/3 units have three carriages and are third-rail only.

They were originally introduced as Class 375/3s by Connex South Eastern, but when they were transferred to Southern, they were fitted with DOO equipment and Dellner couplers, and reclassified as Class 377/3.

The Add-on also has improved audio, which will later be available for Birmingham Cross City and Fife Circle Class 170s.

The main differences from the previous version of the Class 377 in Train Sim World are older headlight clusters, 2+2 seating throughout, First Class on one end only, and three cars instead of four.

This latest update follows the recent release of an Avanti West Coast Class 805 Add-on for Train Sim World 6.
