TikTok sensation Spudman is hitting the Trent Valley Line with 730 free jacket potatoes as part of a month-long collaboration with London Northwestern Railway.

The giveaway celebrates the arrival of London Northwestern Railway’s new Class 730 trains, connecting London with Cheshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and Buckinghamshire. Fans can catch Spudman serving free loaded spuds at three locations over three consecutive Saturdays:

  • 21 February – Milton Keynes, Outdoor Market (MK9 3NT)
  • 28 February – Crewe, Town Square (CW1 2HR)
  • 7 March – Tamworth, St Editha’s Square (B79 7DA)

Ben Newman, known online as Spudman, became a viral hit after sharing videos of customers queuing for his famous loaded spuds at his Tamworth van.

Those who miss out on the free potatoes can try a limited-edition LNR-green jacket potato with pesto chicken, with a portion of profits donated to charity.

“I feel very lucky to have followers who are willing to travel such long distances to visit me, so working with a train operator which is introducing brand-new trains and making it even easier for them as a result makes perfect sense. I can’t wait to visit Milton Keynes, Crewe and then back to where it all started in Tamworth!”

Ben Newman – also known as Spudman.

“Tamworth station is at the heart of the Trent Valley Line, so partnering with the town’s most famous internet star felt like a natural fit to help introduce our new fleet. We’re thrilled to be bringing Spudman to Milton Keynes and Crewe for the first time, giving local communities a chance to try one of his legendary creations.”

David Watkin, commercial director at LNR.

Fans are encouraged to sign up online for a voucher to guarantee their free spud before they run out.
