UPDATE: Trains have now returned to normal

The emergency services are attending an incident in Scotland, which has closed the line to Glasgow.

All lines between Carstairs / Lanark and Glasgow Central are closed whilst the work is carried out, which means trains may be cancelled or delayed.

Major disruption is expected until 11am.

Avanti West Coast says that tickets may be used on London North Eastern Railway, ScotRail, CrossCountry and TransPennine Express.

ScotRail says that ticket acceptance is in place with JMB Buses, and passengers can travel on an alternative route.

TransPennine Express say that tickets can be used with both Avanti and ScotRail but says that disruption is expected to all services.
