A police appeal has been launched after two men stole lead and caused damage at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

The incident happened on Friday, 23rd January at around 20:50.

Two men approached the North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Pickering in a white car before climbing onto the roof.

The two men then removed around £10,000 worth of lead and caused £20,000 of damage in the process before driving off towards Scarborough on the A170.

Officers have released the images and are asking for anyone in the area who may have information to contact the police.
