Major Disruption is affecting London trains today due to overhead wire damage.
Both East Midlands Railway and Thameslink are being affected by the issue, which is in the Elmstree and Borehamwood area.
Major disruption is expected until the end of service today.
London St Pancras – Nottingham / Sheffield / Luton Airport Parkway / Corby trains are being affected as well as Thameslink services between Brighton and Haywards Heath, Horsham, Three Bridges, Gatwick Airport, East Grinstead and Rainham (Kent).
Also being affected are services between Bedford and Rainham (Kent), Gillingham (Kent), Orpington, Elephant and Castle and Luton.
Operators are saying passengers should travel as planned but journeys may be delayed.

East Midlands Railway say that ticket acceptance is in place with Thameslink between St Pancras and Bedford, but these services are also affected by the issue.
A shuttle service between Corby and Kettering, and further ticket acceptance is in place with CrossCountry, TransPennine Express, and Northern to change for LNER services (expected to add between 120 and 150 minutes to journeys).
Derby and Chesterfield passengers should travel via Birmingham New Street and change for Avanti West Coast services – this is expected to add between 150 and 180 minutes to journeys. Nottingham passengers should head to Grantham for LNER services (expected to add around 120 minutes).
Finally, Leicester passengers should head to Nuneaton to change to LNWR and Avanti West Coast services (expected to add 120 minutes to journeys).
Thameslink services have a number of changes to services, with delays of up to 45 minutes expected
- East Grinstead – Bedford (Peak Services) are mostly cancelled
- Sutton – St Albans City: A large number of these services are cancelled
- Orpington – Luton: Largely suspended
- Three Bridges – Bedford via Redhill: Suspended but potentially run a shuttle service north of the issue
Ticket acceptance is in place with East Midlands Railway, London North Western Railway, Uno Buses, Arriva Buses, Great Northern, London Buses, London Underground, London Trams, Southeastern, South Western Railway, Southern, Gatwick Express and Great Western Railway.
