The Great Central Railway is encouraging those local to them this month through half-price tickets.
The railway recently won ‘Best Day Out in Leicestershire’ at the Leicestershire Tourism and Hospitality Awards and has launched the offer to celebrate.
Those who live in LE postcodes can enjoy a trip on the 14th, 15th or 19th February for just £12.
In combination with their Kids for a Quid offer, it is the perfect way to spend the weekend or spend some time outside during the half term.

Visitors can enjoy unlimited steam and diesel services throughout the day, with footplate visits to keep you busy and away from the digital world.
Locals can use LOCAL50 at checkout for the above days to access the discount.
Local visitors are simply asked to bring proof of their LE postcode when visiting.
“We’re honoured to have been named the ‘Best Day Out in Leicestershire,’ and really wanted to celebrate by giving something back to our local community.
“This 50% offer is all about encouraging families to spend time together, create memories and enjoy a proper day out – less screen time, more steam time! There’s so much to see and do here, and we’re hoping that this offer will encourage local people who’ve not visited before to come along and see what we do.”
