Cornwall’s Lappa Valley is celebrating four times over after coming out top in four categories at the 2025 Primary Times Cornwall Star Awards.

Readers of Cornwall’s Primary Times were asked to nominate which were their favourite family-friendly places and to give them a vote of thanks. Lappa Valley received awards for the ‘Best Recommendation to Friends and Family’, ‘Best Value for Money’, ‘Best Family Full Day Out’, with those being topped by being chosen for the coveted ‘Overall Winner’ award.

At Lappa Valley, which is in a scenic setting at St Newlyn East near Newquay, family enjoyment begins with a railway journey to a wide range of family-friendly activities. The reader’s choice shows how much they value the attraction’s exceptional value and unforgettable experiences, with there being something to suit visitors of all ages.

These are just the latest awards recognising Lappa Valley’s ongoing commitment to quality, customer experience, and family fun, and confirm its reputation as one of the county’s best value and must-visit destinations.

In recent years, Lappa Valley has reaped multiple tourism honours. It was named Railway of the Year at the Heritage Railway Association Awards 2025, and at the Cornwall Tourism Awards, it regularly receives numerous awards.

The attraction feels that it is doing something right, as the number of its positive reviews has placed it among the top 10% of things to do worldwide in the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards.

Ahead of next year’s Valentine’s Day, Lappa Valley have produced a song.

With Valentine’s Day just one week away, Lappa Valley has released a song named Rolling Through Lappa With You. Earlier this month, the attraction named Cornwall Air Ambulance as its nominated charity for 2026.

“We are absolutely thrilled to receive these awards, and particularly proud that they were voted for by families from across Cornwall. Creating magical days out for families is at the heart of everything we do, so to be recognised in this way is incredibly special. I’d like to thank our fantastic team for their dedication and everyone who took the time to vote for us, your support means the world.”
