Model railway manufacturer Dapol has seen a gap in the market for model railway enthusiasts and has announced a range of wagons that are ideal for Birthdays and Father’s Day.

The specially liveried wagons follow the announcement in December of the launch of a service for personalising wagons in customers’ own liveries.

Purchasers can add up to ten characters, personalised to their choice, to wagons with liveries featuring slogans including Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday with a cake, Happy Father’s Day, and No. 1 Dad.

Customised wagons will be available on vent vans in OO Gauge, and on seven-plank open wagons in N Gauge and O Gauge; the plank wagons will be supplied without a load.

All wagons are produced by Dapol at their factory at Chirk in Wales, and customised models should be dispatched within five working days from receipt of order.

Prices for the customised wagons are £11 for N Gauge seven-plank wagons, £15.20 for OO Gauge vent vans, and £55 for O Gauge seven-plank wagons.

In recent months, Dapol has released a variety of wagons with customised liveries, including for World Book Day, and wagons adorned with Christmas-themed advertising, including Christmas Pudding and Noël Christmas Ale liveries.
