This year, those visiting the Llangollen and Corwen Railway can enjoy Afternoon Tea services.
The Afternoon Tea by the Dee trains provide an opportunity to celebrate occasions or as a gift while travelling through the scenic landscape.
The return journeys will be both steam and diesel-hauled, with a selection of sandwiches and sweet treats, with the option to upgrade with some wine.
Bookings for private tables are also available for smaller parties who would like their own table.
Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available, but need to be stated at the time of booking.
Tickets are expected to sell out fast, so early booking is essential, which can be done here.
Special Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea Trains are also available.
“There is something wonderfully unhurried about Afternoon Tea on the train. From the moment guests take their seats in a heritage carriage, the experience encourages them to slow down and enjoy the journey as much as the destination. Watching the Dee Valley unfold beyond the window while tea, scones and cakes are served at the table creates a setting that feels both nostalgic and special.
“We know from previous years just how popular these services are for birthdays, anniversaries and family gatherings, but they are equally perfect for anyone who simply wants to enjoy a relaxed and memorable day out. It is a lovely way to experience the railway, combining great scenery, great food and great company.”
James Veal from the Railway
