The Mid Suffolk Light Railway recently applied to regain its Accredited Museum status.

They have now regained this status for the next 5 years thanks to both Ian Meigh (chairman), who filled out many forms, and the railway’s incredible volunteers.

The status goes hand in hand with the railway being a major Suffolk attraction.

It joins the likes of Statfold Barn Railway Museum, North Yorkshire Moors Railway, National Railway Museum, and the Downpatrick and County Down Railway, which have all had this accreditation (currently or previously).

The railway hopes that having the accreditation will also help with their fundraising within current projects.
