Southeastern has partnered with Enterprise, the rental car company, to enable passengers to complete their journeys to their final destinations.
The Car Club Scheme, piloted by Southeastern using hire vehicles from Enterprise, is currently only available to passengers who use Otford and Sevenoaks stations.
The idea is that passengers can book a club car via the Enterprise Car Club app or via the website, which will enable passengers to be sure of an onward connection from home to the station or from their alighting railway station to their final destination.

While Southeastern encourages and promotes sustainable, greener rail travel, it is hoped that this pilot scheme will give passengers more flexible travel options for inward and onward connections at stations.
Other schemes also include partnering with Lime and Forest for hiring bikes at stations, offering another alternative for passengers to complete their journeys in full.

The first 200 people to sign up to the pilot scheme at Sevenoaks will receive a promo code from Southeaster for a year’s free membership (normally costing £60 per year) and a £30 driving credit, which lasts for 90 days, and is gradually reduced by car rental time, not by the mileage covered.
With over 1,300 vehicles in over 220 towns across the UK, Enterprise’s partnership with Southeastern will enable a cost-effective way for passengers to get from A to B for business and leisure.
“We all look forward to getting to our destination, but the journey there can be the hardest part. By adding Enterprise Car Club cars at Sevenoaks and Otford, we’re giving club members a seamless way to do the last few miles without owning a car.
This is part of our strategy to help passengers complete their first and last mile, whether by walking, bike, bus or shared transport, so more people can choose the train.”
Southeastern’s Commercial Director, Alicia Andrews
“Whether commuting for business or leisure, adding car club vehicles to railway stations makes travel easier and more convenient.
Enterprise Car Club is proud to provide a sustainable and cost‑effective shared mobility solution for the last mile of the journey.”
Enterprise Mobility’s Vice President and General Manager of Southeast England, Tori Patrick
