Part of the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) system is to close over the weekend of the 24th & 25th of January to allow for track relaying and maintenance work, following past flood damage.
The section of line between Queens Walk and Clifton South Park & Ride will be closed, with a bus replacement service in operation. While the rails in the Wilford Lane area are being replaced, a road diversion will also be in place, and a temporary walking route for pedestrians will be established to provide an alternative route around the work site.

Additional information on bus replacement services and a map of revised walking routes in place during the works is available in the planned maintenance section on the NET website.
“Following unavoidable instances of severe flooding, this maintenance work is necessary to ensure a safe and reliable service for our customers, whilst also improving the resilience of the network. With a replacement bus service in operation, we’re hoping to reduce the impact on customers whilst this work takes place.
We encourage customers who regularly rely on travelling along the affected route to visit our website where they can view our dedicated maintenance page for more information, or contact us through our live chat function on our website if they have any questions. We’d like to thank our customers for their patience and co-operation during this time.”
