Northern has revealed that almost 1 million journeys have been made on the Northumberland Line since its reopening.
Many journeys have been made, highlighting the line’s importance for connecting people.
In celebration, passengers have been invited to enter a competition to win a month of free travel on the line, along with an Amazon voucher.
To enter, all passengers need to do is visit Northern’s website and share how the line has helped them commute to loved ones, work, or education.
The competition is open until January 12th, and the winner will be chosen at random.

As the Northumberland Line is such a success in Northeast England. I do think that the Northumberland Line should continue on to Newbiggin-by-the-Sea and to reopen Choppington and Hepscott stations on the Blyth and Tyne Railway.
