The Nene Valley Railway has announced that it will run an Intercity high-speed train (HST) with power cars 43045 and 43048, complete with an on-board bar, at its Diesel Gala from Thursday 5 until Sunday 8 March.

The standard-gauge heritage railway in Peterborough has previously announced that the weekend will feature a GBRf Class 66, which will be visiting to help raise funds for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

This will be VP185 power car 43048’s first visit ever to the Nene Valley Railway, and it will be available for driving experiences, another first, appearing in its new 125 Group livery.
