An incident occurred on board a train on the 1st January, and British Transport Police are appealing for witnesses.
Around 4:35 pm on a train to Gravesend, an elderly man was assaulted after a man was aggressive towards a guard.
The train guard approached a man to check his ticket, and the man began threatening and abusing the guard.
The elderly man then tried to help and was threatened and pushed to the floor before being pushed out of the train onto the platform.
