Urgent repairs are taking place to the railway between Telford Central and Wolverhampton, with major disruption expected until the end of the day.

The line towards Wolverhampton is blocked and is affecting services operated by Avanti West Coast, Transport for Wales and West Midlands Railway.

Avanti West Coast says that passengers can use Chiltern Railways, CrossCountry, London Northwestern Railway and Transport for Wales services.

Transport for Wales says that ticket acceptance is in place with West Midlands Metro, West Midlands Railway and Avanti West Coast.

Whilst the line is closed, trains may be diverted or cancelled by up to 60 minutes.

The latest travel news is available on National Rail Enquiries.
