Transport for Greater Manchester is reminding passengers to check before travelling, as an ongoing electricity fault has meant the suspension of part of the Eccles line.

The fault has occurred between Anchorage and Salford Quays.

There is currently no service between Pomona and Eccles, with trams running from Ashton-under-Lyne terminating at Deansgate-Castlefield.

Passengers can change at Deansgate-Castlefield for Trafford Centre trams to Cornbrook and Pomona.

Ticket acceptance is in place with Bee Network buses, or alternatively, Transport for Greater Manchester say that several destinations on this line are reachable by walking.

The latest tram travel advice is available on the TfGM website.
