Wivenhoe Station’s waiting room is set to be upgraded to improve the customer experience.

Greater Anglia has begun work on the area and will complete the upgrade by mid February.

Once complete, the waiting room will have a new departure screen, seating, flooring, improved air conditioning, and plug sockets.

Passenger numbers have grown at the station, which is why the operator has chosen to improve the station’s facilities.

While the upgrades are carried out an alternative sheltered areas will be available to use.

“This is a significant upgrade of facilities at Wivenhoe station, which will ensure that passengers travelling through the station can wait in comfort and have easy access to real-time train running information in the waiting room.

“We are looking forward to delivering these improvements and would like to thank passengers for their patience while these works are being carried out.”
