Last month, it was announced that Keighley station had been shortlisted for the National Railway Heritage Awards 2025.
The award winners were revealed on the 3rd December in London, with the station being a double winner due to its restoration.
Network Rail carried out a £9.9 million project to transform the station while preserving its heritage as a grade II-listed building.

For the project, they won in the Urban Heritage category and the Volunteers award for their conversion of the water tank base.
Since 1979, the awards have been presented each year to restoration projects.
The restoration of Keighley station saw the station refurbished and renewal of timber in both ramps and roofs, as well as strengthening work.
“We’re very proud of the Keighley station project – and delighted to see it recognised by the National Railway Heritage Awards. We took painstaking care over the restoration and used innovative engineering solutions to keep the station open to the public throughout.
“We’ve maintained the station’s 19th century heritage while making sure it’s equipped to serve passengers for decades to come, and to be recognised by the judges in this way is excellent for everyone involved.”
