The first Santa Special departed the Llangollen and Corwen Railway yesterday morning, kicking off the Christmas excitement.

The first train launched after a ceremony featuring Llangollen Silver Band, with Hazel Birkenhead, long-standing volunteer and Carolyn Thomas MS, cutting the ribbon to declare the Santa Specials open.

The Santa Specials aren’t the only event to look forward to this festive season, as they are also running the well-loved Siôn Corn Specials and the traditional Mince Pie Specials between Christmas and New Year.

Some Santa Specials still have tickets available, but they are selling fast, so get booking now on their website.

The Siôn Corn Specials and the traditional Mince Pie Specials also have some tickets remaining.
