Model railway manufacturer Rapido Trains UK is introducing a new service for customising a Rapido RCH 1907 PO Wagon with a personalised livery.

There are five liveries to choose from, and three templates for the text, and personalised models will have the same amount of external, internal, and underframe detail as the normal ready-to-run range.

Creating the personalised livery is through an easy-to-use website interface, and ordering is straightforward.

The new service is being run in conjunction with The Wagon Yard.

Previously, the Custom Wagon Service was exclusive for shows, but is now generally available through the new Rapido Custom Wagon Service website.

The Custom Wagon Service allows modellers to create their own design and have it printed onto a five or seven-plank RCH 1907 PO Wagon wagon, which can be black, blue, green, red, or yellow.

Three different lettering layouts, including the modellers’ text and running numbers, which can be positioned in one of four locations on the wagon. Further customisation is on offer with three different font styles.

The process to create a bespoke wagon has been designed to be straightforward. A series of easy-to-navigate options allows the chosen body style and wagon colour to be checked before going through the customisation process.

There then follow several text boxes to complete, which vary depending on the chosen layout and size of wagon chosen, as well as the maximum character length.

Delivery time for the customised wagons is around 4 weeks for UK-based orders.

Rapido only has a limited number of wagons available for customising, and once they have sold out, they will be shown on the website as unavailable.

The cost per wagon is £50 each, including post and packing, for UK orders.
