Railway modellers who enjoy replicating an international feel to their layout will soon be able to reproduce one of the world’s most legendary trading routes with Bachmann China’s “Silk Road Express”.

The “Silk Road Express” will be an N Gauge model and is due for release in 2026.

There will be a train set and a train pack, with each set including an electric locomotive and rolling stock; the models will also be available to purchase separately.

All models will be adorned with beautiful decorative patterns, and premium versions of the coaches will also be available with working interior lights and elaborate interior decoration decals.

The “Silk Road Express” is an opulent international luxury tourist train created by the railway cultural tourism brand “Train of Glamour” under Fosun Infrastructure Group.

It was designed by the world-renowned design company HBA, which has a philosophy deep-rooted in the cultural essence of the golden age of the ancient Silk Road during the country’s Han and Tang dynasties.

The train was painted by Tsinghua University Academy of Art & Design, decorated by Qingdao CRRC Sifang, and has authentic Han-Tang cloud motifs. Included in the train are a bar car and a panoramic observation car.
